Year 2 Teaching Assistant – Camberwell - Immediate 
Are you a nurturing and proactive Teaching Assistant with a passion for helping children thrive? A welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Camberwell is seeking a dedicated Year 2 Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in a well-established school community, supporting young learners at a crucial stage in their development. 
 
Role Overview: 

• Position: Year 2 Teaching Assistant 

• Location: Camberwell 

• Interview Date: Immediate 

• Contract: Full-Time / Term Time 

• Salary: £103.00 – £110.00 per day (dependent on experience) 

 
About the Role: 
As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with the class teacher to support pupils both in and out of the classroom. You will assist with learning activities, provide targeted support to individuals with special educational needs, and help create a positive and engaging learning environment for all children. 
 
We Are Looking For: 

• Experience supporting pupils in a primary school setting 

• A patient, caring, and enthusiastic approach to working with children 

• Strong communication and teamwork skills 

• Ability to support learning across the curriculum, including phonics and early literacy 

• A proactive attitude and willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school 

 
Your Responsibilities Will Include: 

• Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging, differentiated lessons 

• Working with pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups 

• Helping children develop their confidence, social skills, and academic progress 

• Assisting with classroom organisation, displays, and preparation of learning materials 

• Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting a safe, inclusive environment
