Fire and Security Service Supervisor – Southend-on-Sea - £35,000
 
My client is a well-established and reputable fire & security service provider who covers London and the home counties. They are now seeking a service supervisor to join their team.
 
Salary Package:
  • £30,000 - £35,000
  • Mon-Fri, 8am – 5pm
  • 20 Days Plus Bank Holidays, Birthday Off (1 additional day per years’ service)
  • Onsite parking
 
Duties:
  • Fulfil the responsibilities of a Lead Service Coordinator when required, including providing cover during periods of annual leave
  • Act as Service Manager in their absence to ensure continuity of leadership
  • Offer guidance, mentorship, and training to Lead Coordinators to support their professional development
  • Collaborate with other departments and personnel to effectively resolve operational issues
  • Provide oversight and direction to both Lead Coordinators and Service Coordinators
  • Produce regular reports and updates for designated clients, and represent the department in client meetings
  • Monitor, analyse, and report on team performance metrics and trends
  • Deliver constructive feedback on individual staff performance to support improvement and development
  • Manage escalated matters related to the service department, both internally and externally
  • Conduct return-to-work interviews, probationary reviews, and development meetings in conjunction with the Service Manager
  • Allocate and prioritize workloads for Lead Coordinators to ensure timely and effective task completion
  • Work alongside the Service Manager to identify and implement strategies for improving departmental efficiency and profitability
  • Perform quality assurance checks on individual outputs, using results to provide tailored coaching and guidance
  • Design, implement, and revise internal processes to optimize service delivery
  • Develop and update comprehensive training materials and documentation
  • Support the recruitment process for departmental office roles, including CV screening, virtual interviews, and in-person assessments
  • Participate in senior-level meetings, such as monthly service management reviews and Integrated Delivery Meetings (IDMs)
 
Person Specification:
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Willingness to be a team player, with the ability to work flexibly across different work areas.
  • Great problem-solving skills.
 
Preferred Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years’ administrative experience
  • Experience working within the Fire & Security sector
