Job Description

Role: Retrofit Operations Manager
Location: Hertfordshire
Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 + standard benefits
Summary of Responsibilities:

Oversee end-to-end delivery of retrofit programmes in line with PAS 2030/2035 standards
Act as the operational lead for retrofit and decarbonisation initiatives
Manage PAS documentation, project plans, and maintain audit readiness across all schemes
Collaborate with designers, assessors, and compliance consultants to ensure project quality
Build and manage multidisciplinary delivery teams, including site and office-based staff
Support tendering processes and contribute to bid development
Foster client relationships and represent the organisation at senior-level meetings and reviews
Drive on-site delivery standards through inspections, compliance monitoring, and HSEQ oversight
Oversee subcontractor performance and compliance with PAS and MCS standards
Ensure planned energy efficiency improvements are accurately specified and achieved
Work with commercial teams to cost and optimise retrofit solutions
Lead preparations for external PAS 2030/2035 and MCS audits

Candidate Profile:

Minimum 5 years’ experience in retrofit or decarbonisation project delivery
Strong working knowledge of PAS 2030/2035 compliance frameworks
Ideally holds Level 5 qualification in Retrofit Coordination, Sustainability, or related field
Retrofit Assessor or Coordinator accreditation preferred
Experience managing multiple projects and operational teams
Competent in commercial planning, budget oversight, and HSEQ compliance
Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
Full UK driving licence essential
