Qualified Social Worker – MASH
📍 Location: South Yorkshire
💷 Pay: £35 per hour

Are you an experienced Social Worker with a passion for safeguarding children and making a real difference? We’re looking for a committed and knowledgeable professional to join a dedicated Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) in South Yorkshire. This is an opportunity to work at the front line of child protection, within a collaborative team environment, where your professional expertise will help ensure children’s safety and wellbeing.

The Role
As part of the MASH team, you’ll:

Undertake thorough risk assessments based on multi-agency information
Make informed decisions on thresholds and safeguarding responses
Use your knowledge of child protection legislation to provide effective interventions
Work closely with partner agencies including health, education, and police
Manage a caseload focused on triage and initial assessments

You’ll be supporting early identification of risk and contributing to timely, child-centred decision-making—making you a key figure in preventing harm and promoting positive outcomes for children and families.

What You’ll Need
We're looking for a strong communicator and analytical thinker who can confidently manage complex information under pressure.
✅ Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England
✅ 4+ years' post-qualified experience in children’s social care
✅ In-depth knowledge of Child Protection processes, legislation, and statutory guidance
✅ Experience in MASH, duty and assessment, or safeguarding roles
✅ Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-agency setting
✅ Commitment to putting children and families at the centre of all decisions
