Are you a skilled and passionate professional with experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We’re looking for an experienced Education, Health and Care Co-ordinator to join a forward-thinking Local Authority in the East Midlands.
In this rewarding role, you'll play a key part in supporting children and young people (0–25) who require specialist educational provision. You’ll be the main point of contact for families navigating the EHC assessment process — helping them feel heard, supported, and empowered.
💼 What you’ll be doing:

Act as the central contact for families and young people throughout the EHC assessment process.
Co-ordinate statutory assessments, ensuring compliance with legal timeframes.
Work in partnership with education, health, and social care professionals to develop high-quality EHC plans.
Represent the council in mediation and support managers in preparing for SENDIST appeals.
Contribute to service improvement and mentor newly recruited or less experienced team members.
Always model best practice in line with the Children and Families Act 2014 and SEND Code of Practice.

✅ What we're looking for:

Degree-level education and ideally a background in teaching, SENCO, or similar.
Strong knowledge of the SEN landscape, including statutory responsibilities and family rights.
Skilled in partnership working across schools, health, and social care.
Confident communicator with a person-centred, inclusive approach.
Ability to travel locally as needed.
