Type: Part-time (18.5 hours/week)
Pay: £35 per hour
Contract: Maternity Cover

Are you an experienced and passionate social worker looking to make a difference at the very start of a child’s journey through social care? We’re seeking a Senior Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Integrated Front Door / MASH team in South Yorkshire on a part-time basis.
 
👶 What You’ll Be Doing:
You’ll be the first point of contact for children and families in need, working in a fast-paced environment where your decisions truly matter.
Using your professional judgment, you'll:

• Assess referrals and analyse complex information to identify risk
• Complete safety plans and support decisions on thresholds and intervention
• Collaborate with multi-agency partners (health, police, education, etc.)
• Promote early help and ensure the right support at the right time
• Make an impact through early identification and swift, effective action

🧠 What You Bring:
We’re looking for someone who’s confident, experienced, and ready to hit the ground running in a MASH or screening setting.
✅ Registered Social Worker (Social Work England)
✅ 4+ years post-qualified experience
✅ Strong knowledge of thresholds and safeguarding legislation
✅ Skilled in risk assessments and safety planning
✅ Familiarity with the Signs of Safety framework and Mosaic system
✅ Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
✅ Commitment to child-focused, strengths-based practice

  Week 1: Mon–Wed | Week 2: Mon–Tues

  Minimum 2 days in-office on 3-day week / 1 day on 2-day week
