Job Description
An Algorithm role where you’ll be working on cutting-edge tech in the defence arena.
The Navigation Algorithm Design Engineer will join a busy and growing team working across both R&D and live programmes. This isn’t just theory you’ll be hands-on developing algorithms that sit right at the core of advanced guided systems, with your work feeding directly into real-world delivery.
You’ll be using your Algorithm experience to be involved across the whole lifecycle from early concept and feasibility studies, through to supporting upgrades on in-service products. The role offer plenty of variety, plenty of visibility, and a chance to get stuck into projects that genuinely push the boundaries.
What you’ll need:
- Strong programming background with experience of MATLAB
- Algorithm experience in a complex technical arena.
- Ideally PhD qualified, or a technical degree (Aero, Mech, Control, Maths, Physics etc.) with solid algorithm/nav experience
- Good knowledge of real-time implementation, testing, and validation
- Some experience with state-of-the-art navigation techniques or algorithm evaluation would be a big plus
