Location: Carmarthenshire, Wales
Contract: 17th March 2025 – 15th June 2025
Hours: 37 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Salary: £19.66-£34.52

What You’ll Do:
  • Deliver exceptional Environmental Health services, enforcing policies and legislation with precision and care.
  • Manage your workload efficiently, ensuring compliance with Council standards and promoting best practices.
  • Provide expert advice on food safety and public protection, keeping up-to-date with legislation and technical advancements.
  • Collaborate with teams, elected members, and stakeholders to represent Carmarthenshire’s interests.
  • Prepare reports, adapt to changing needs, and contribute to service development—all while maintaining financial diligence.
  • Work flexibly, including structured out-of-hours duties, to meet service demands.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Qualifications: M.Sc, B.Sc, or Diploma in Environmental Health, plus registration with the Environmental Health Registration Board or Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.
  • Skills: Strong communication, customer focus, and competencies aligned with the Food Law Code of Practice.
  • Experience: Proven track record in Environmental Health services.
  • Personal Qualities: Reliable, enthusiastic, team-oriented, and adept at prioritising tasks.
  • Bonus Points: CPD evidence, additional EH qualifications, local government experience, or skills in advocacy, negotiation, and presentations.
