- PAYE: £14.13 per hour
- Umbrella: £17.76 per hour
As a Grants and Monitoring Support Officer, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering an effective preventative programme, ensuring grants align with Early Intervention and Prevention principles. You’ll work closely with community groups, organisations, and stakeholders to administer and monitor grants, driving efficiency and positive impact. This role offers the opportunity to develop innovative approaches, build strong partnerships, and contribute to meaningful community outcomes.
What You’ll Do:
- Design and administer grant programmes, including Third Sector Major Grants, to support community-focused solutions.
- Oversee all aspects of grant administration, compliance, and monitoring.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance grant processes and develop robust frameworks.
- Verify and validate grant applications and performance data to ensure quality and impact.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with community groups and internal teams.
- Provide expert advice to stakeholders and support grant reviews and compliance visits.
- Stay informed about funding opportunities to maximise efficiency and reduce duplication.
We’re seeking a motivated and organised individual with a passion for community development and grant administration. You’ll need:
- Essential:
- Strong knowledge of preventative service provision and grant administration processes.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel.
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar setting (e.g., voluntary, public, or preventative sectors).
- Proven ability to develop policies/protocols for grant administration.
- Excellent communication and partnership-building skills.
- Ability to manage a complex workload, prioritise tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work occasional unsocial hours and travel within the area as needed.
- Desirable:
- Knowledge of funding bodies, grant processes, or community development.
- Experience in developing service delivery frameworks.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject.
- Ability to communicate in Welsh or willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with GDPR and data management.
