Job Title: Operations Operator / Frameworks Operator
Location: Bolton and surrounding areas - You will travel between multiple Royal Mail sites, often working at a single site for only 1–2 days at a time.
Pay Rate: £17.36 per hour
Shift Pattern: 10:00 – 18:00 (Flexibility required depending on workload)

Job Overview:

We are seeking reliable and adaptable Operations Operators to support key operational activities for Royal Mail. This is a hands-on, ad hoc role involving manual handling, equipment use, and the assembly/disassembly of mail sorting frames.
Please note:

• This is an ad hoc role – work is scheduled based on operational need.
• You will travel between multiple Royal Mail sites, often working at a single site for only 1–2 days at a time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow clear, concise instructions from the Royal Mail Lead
• Adhere strictly to all Health & Safety standards at all times
• Use various tools including:
  
  • Impact drivers
  • Drills
  • Stanley knives
  • Measuring tools
• Bolt and unbolt Royal Mail sorting frames (approx. 5ft tall, 6ft wide, 45kg steel construction)
• Operate power tools to screw and unscrew bolts
• Assist colleagues in repositioning and relocating heavy sorting frames
• Apply vinyl wrap and duct tape to sorting frames as directed
• Load and unload large vans on operational sites

Requirements:

• Physically fit and confident with manual handling
• Comfortable using a range of tools
• Punctual and flexible with working days and varying tasks
• Able to adapt quickly to changes in location or duties
• Strong team player with clear communication skills
• A valid UK driving licence is desirable due to travel requirements

Additional Information:

• All work will be carried out under the supervision of a Royal Mail Lead
• Flexibility is essential – both in terms of duties and travel
• PPE and relevant tools will be provided
