Children's Independent Reviewing Officer, Bury
Pay rate, £30 per hour
Child Protection, Childcare, Fostering
Job Purpose: -

To convene and chair reviews of Bury’s in house foster carers
To obtain feedback from foster carers, IROs, Children’s social workers and children about the care provided by foster carers
To produce a high-quality report including recommendations for foster carers’ continued approval that will be considered by the fostering panel.
To convene and provide an independent chairing service for multi-agency and departmental meetings in matters relating to Child Protection, looked after Children, Private Fostering, Supervision Orders & missing from home.
To ensure ‘best practice’, rigour and out-standing care and safety planning for Bury children, working constructively with senior managers and offering a critical perspective and appropriate challenge to the Local Authority.
