• Salary: £175 – £250 per day (dependent on experience)

The Role
An Outstanding-rated secondary school in Birmingham is seeking a committed and knowledgeable Humanities Teacher to join their team from January 2026. This supply role will involve planning, delivering, and marking across the RS, Geography, and History curriculum, with a particular emphasis on History.
You’ll deliver engaging, well-structured lessons across KS3 and KS4, supporting students to develop strong analytical, evaluative, and written skills. The role offers full teaching responsibility within a high-performing department and a school with excellent academic standards.
 
The Candidate
The successful candidate will be an adaptable and confident Humanities specialist who can maintain high expectations in the classroom. You should be:

• A qualified teacher with QTS (applications from ECTs welcome)
• Confident teaching History, with the ability to support RS and Geography
• Experienced in planning, delivering, and marking Humanities lessons
• Skilled in behaviour management and student engagement
• Passionate about Humanities education and academic progress
