Are you an enthusiastic Design Technology teacher with a passion for inspiring the next generation of creators, makers, and problem-solvers? A forward-thinking secondary school in Birmingham is looking to appoint a talented DT teacher for a full-time, long-term position starting in September 2025. Whether you're an experienced teacher or an ECT looking to kickstart your career in a supportive environment, this opportunity could be an ideal fit.

Key Details:
  • Position: Design Technology Teacher (QTS or ECT welcome)
  • Location: Birmingham
  • Start Date: September 2025
  • Rate: £175–£250 per day (depending on experience)
  • Contract: Full-time, long-term
  • Key Stages: KS3 & KS4

The Role:
You’ll be delivering engaging and practical Design Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4, with the freedom to shape your lessons around your specialism—whether it’s Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, or Textiles. The successful candidate will plan and deliver lessons that combine creativity, technical skill, and theoretical understanding, while preparing students for GCSE assessments. You should be confident in delivering the DT curriculum and creating a positive, hands-on learning environment. A background in CAD/CAM, 3D printing, or sustainability in design would be a bonus, but not essential. What matters most is a genuine passion for the subject and the ability to engage students of all abilities.

The School:
This is a popular secondary school in Birmingham known for its inclusive ethos, supportive leadership, and strong focus on practical, skills-based education.
