Design Technology Teacher – Part-Time (3 Days a Week)

Bring creativity and hands-on learning to life in this exciting Design Technology role at a well-regarded secondary school. Starting September 2025, this part-time opportunity is ideal for a passionate DT specialist eager to make an impact across KS3 and KS4.

The Role
You’ll deliver engaging, practical Design Technology lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, encouraging creativity, problem-solving and technical skills. The role includes planning, marking, and contributing to curriculum development within a supportive DT department. The school is seeking someone who can make practical lessons safe, structured, and enjoyable for a broad range of learners.
 
The Candidate
We're looking for:
  • A qualified DT Teacher (QTS or ECT welcome)
  • Recent experience teaching Design Technology at KS3 and KS4
  • Strong classroom management and a practical, energetic approach to teaching
  • A specialism in Resistant Materials, Product Design, Graphics or similar
  • A passion for fostering creativity and technical confidence in young people
