Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced Adults’ Social Worker ready to make a positive impact in vibrant and diverse Manchester.
Manchester’s Neighbourhood Team supports adults so that they can live safely and independently in their communities.

As part of the Neighbourhood Team, you will:

• Work with adults and their families to assess needs and develop person-centred care plans.
• Conduct strengths-based assessments to promote independence and well-being.
• Provide support to individuals facing complex challenges, including safeguarding concerns and mental health needs.
• Collaborate with multi-agency partners to ensure coordinated and effective service delivery.
• Maintain accurate and timely records in line with statutory responsibilities.

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
• Experience in adults’ social care, including knowledge of safeguarding practices and the Care Act.
• Strong assessment, care planning, and case management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage with diverse communities.
• A commitment to promoting independence and delivering high-quality outcomes.
