Senior Practitioner, Children’s Social Care, Tameside

I’m looking for a senior practitioner to work at Tameside Council. This is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact while earning a competitive hourly rate of £39 per hour.

As a Senior Practitioner, you’ll:
• Take a leading role in managing complex cases and safeguarding children.
• Provide expert guidance and support to social workers in the team, ensuring high standards of practice.
• Lead on assessments, care planning, and interventions to secure positive outcomes for children and families.
• Work closely with families, multi-agency partners, and other professionals to deliver coordinated services.
• Contribute to the development of best practices and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.

What We’re Looking For:
• Qualified social worker with current Social Work England registration.
• Substantial experience in children’s social care, including handling complex cases.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, procedures, and best practices.
• Proven ability to mentor and support team members to achieve excellence.
• Exceptional communication, organisation, and leadership skills.
