Approved Mental Health Practitioner - Southampton - AMHP Hub

Job Title: Approved Mental Health Practitioner
Location: Southampton
Working Hours: Full time, Hybrid
Rate: £48 p/h
 
Pertemps Social Care are currently recruiting for an experienced AMHP to join a busy team in Southampton, based within the AMHP Hub team.
 
Responsibilities:

• You will be a qualified social worker, registered LD/MH nurse, Chartered Psychologist, or occupational therapist with at least 3 years post-qualifying experience and hold a valid AMHP warrant (or be eligible for being approved upon commencement). 
• You must have recent experience of working as an AMHP either a 'Hub' AMHP or a 'Spoke' AMHP within a Local Authority in England or Wales and have evidence of your ability to meet The AMHP (England) Regulations 2008.
• Comprehensive experience of assessing individuals under the Mental Health Act 1983
• Comprehensive experience in co-ordination Mental Health Act Assessments in hospitals and the community
• Ability to work a range of shifts to cover the 24-hour service (our shifts are 0700 - 1600, 1100-2000, 1400-2300 and 1700-0200). 
• Must be able to cover the 'on call' phone after the Twilight shift from 0200-0700
• Must be able to start work in Southampton at the start of your shift and remain throughout your shift (there is little option for remote-based or hybrid working)
• Experience in leading adults in safeguarding enquiries
• Be able to meet the travel requirements of this role.  Whilst most of the work is based within Southampton City, some occasional out-of-area work may be required.
