*** 1:1 and small group support across KS2 for children with Autism
The Role:
As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you’ll work with KS2 pupils with Autism to build confidence, communication, and independence. You’ll deliver tailored interventions, regulate routines, use visual supports, and record progress against targets. You’ll collaborate with class teachers, the SENCO, and parents to ensure consistent strategies in class and during transitions.
The Candidate:
You’ll hold a psychology (or related) degree, communicate clearly, and stay calm under pressure. You can follow support plans, use data to inform next steps, and adapt resources to individual needs. A genuine interest in child development and SEN is essential.
Requirements
• Degree – A 2:2 or above in any subject.
• Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
• Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
• Desire to work in education/with children – Strong interest in SEN and pupil wellbeing.
• Experience working with children – Any relevant experience such as SEN support, mentoring, or volunteering is desirable but not essential.
