*** Teaching Assistant
*** £70 - £80 per day
*** Immediate start until July 2025
*** 2-Form Entry primary school, South Brimingham
*** 1:1 and small group support for low ability pupils
 
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a ‘Good’ 2-Form Entry primary school in South Birmingham (Kings Heath). The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting our teachers and students, contributing to the positive learning experience of all children within the school.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and group support to students in a range of subjects.
  • Assist in planning and implementing creative and engaging lessons.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Support children with special educational needs (SEN) and tailor interventions accordingly.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers.
  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour management strategies.
  • Contribute to the preparation and maintenance of classroom resources.
  • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and parent-teacher conferences as required.
 
Requirements:
  • 2:2 degree or above
  • Minimum of a C or 4 in GCSE English and Maths
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Understanding of child development and different learning styles.
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and commitment to student welfare.
