SEN Teaching Assistant – Waltham Forest - Immediate
Pertemps Education are currently seeking experienced and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join an outstanding all-through Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Waltham Forest. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people aged 4–19 with a wide range of complex learning needs in a school that truly values inclusion, progress, and wellbeing.
Role Overview:
  • Position: SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Contract: Full-Time / Long-term
  • Salary: £103 – £115 per day (dependent on experience)
What We’re Looking For:
  • Have a strong background in supporting pupils with a range of needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, sensory processing challenges, and complex learning difficulties
  • Understand how to implement EHCP targets and provide differentiated, tailored support
  • Are confident supporting pupils across both primary and secondary age groups
  • Are calm, patient, and committed to creating an inclusive learning environment
  • Can work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and the wider school team
Your Responsibilities:
  • Deliver one-to-one and small group support to pupils with varying levels of need
  • Support the development of students’ communication, social, and life skills
  • Assist in managing behaviour positively and consistently in line with school policy
  • Work closely with teachers and external professionals to deliver individualised interventions
  • Contribute to a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
