Are you a QTS DT Teacher looking for a new and rewarding opportunity to teach small groups of students with special educational needs? This role requires a QTS DT Teacher with a patient and empathetic approach. Previous experience teaching in a SEND setting is desirable however not essential as additional training will be provided. Job Role:
- Teaching Design & Technology to small classes of pupils with SEND
- Planning and delivering practical, engaging and differentiated lessons
- Adapting the curriculum to meet a range of additional learning needs
- Creating a safe, structured and inclusive workshop environment
- Working closely with Teaching Assistants and support staff
- Monitoring progress and supporting pupils’ personal and academic development
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Strong subject knowledge in Design & Technology
- Experience teaching pupils with SEND (desirable)
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- A patient, flexible and creative approach
- Outstanding facilities and specialist DT resources
- Small class sizes allowing for personalised teaching
- Support from a welcoming and experienced staff team
- Ongoing CPD and professional development
- Pay to scale up to MPS 6
