DT Teacher – Design & Technology – SEND School

This role requires a QTS DT Teacher with a patient and empathetic approach. Previous experience teaching in a SEND setting is desirable however not essential as additional training will be provided. Job Role:

• Teaching Design & Technology to small classes of pupils with SEND
• Planning and delivering practical, engaging and differentiated lessons
• Adapting the curriculum to meet a range of additional learning needs
• Creating a safe, structured and inclusive workshop environment
• Working closely with Teaching Assistants and support staff
• Monitoring progress and supporting pupils’ personal and academic development

You Will Need:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Strong subject knowledge in Design & Technology
• Experience teaching pupils with SEND (desirable)
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• A patient, flexible and creative approach
