Job Description
Are you a caring and creative Special Needs Teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of primary aged pupils? A warm and welcoming special school in Birmingham is seeking a Special Needs Teacher to join their team, teaching small classes of pupils with Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and a range of complex needs. With exceptional support from an experienced team of Teaching Assistants and access to fantastic resources, this is an opportunity to teach in a setting where every pupil is valued and supported to thrive.
As a Special Needs Teacher, you will deliver personalised lessons that meet the individual needs of each pupil. Class sizes are small, allowing you to build meaningful relationships and provide high-quality support. Working closely with skilled Teaching Assistants, therapists, and a dedicated leadership team, you will help create an engaging, nurturing, and structured learning environment. This role is ideal for a Special Needs Teacher who is passionate about SEND and committed to helping pupils develop both academically and emotionally.
Job Role:
- Teaching a small class of primary aged pupils with complex learning needs.
- Planning creative, differentiated lessons that meet individual learning targets.
- Working alongside a team of experienced Teaching Assistants to provide exceptional support.
- Creating a calm, supportive, and engaging classroom environment.
- Building strong relationships with pupils, families, and external professionals.
