Job Description
Are you an engaging and passionate Science Teacher who thrives in a supportive, student-focused environment? This welcoming Alternative Provision in Birmingham is looking for a qualified Science Teacher to join their dedicated team from September 2025. This is a long-term opportunity teaching small groups of Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, helping them to re-engage with education and achieve academic success.
The successful candidate will have excellent subject knowledge, strong classroom management skills, and a creative approach to lesson delivery that inspires and motivates students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You’ll benefit from a highly experienced and supportive leadership team, outstanding facilities, and a collaborative approach that places staff and students at the heart of everything they do.
Job Role:
- Teaching Science to small groups of Key Stage 3 & 4 students.
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to individual needs.
- Building positive relationships and supporting students with SEMH needs.
- Working closely with a skilled team of staff and support professionals.
- Using assessment to inform progress and personalise learning.
- Working with a dynamic, caring team in a well-equipped provision.
- A long-term role with the potential for development.
