Job Description
Are you an experienced SEND Teacher looking for a new opportunity to make a real difference? This welcoming special school in South Birmingham is looking to appoint a dedicated SEND Teacher to teach Key Stage 3 and 4 students with autism and associated learning needs from September 2025. This is a long-term role in a well-resourced school with an excellent reputation for supporting both pupils and staff.
As a SEND Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering a personalised and engaging curriculum to small classes of pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, communication difficulties, and moderate to severe learning difficulties. You will be supported by a skilled team of teaching assistants and a leadership team committed to providing the highest standards of education and care. The ideal candidate will be creative, patient, and passionate about inclusive education. This role requires qualified teacher status.
Job Role:
- Teaching small groups of Key Stage 3 & 4 students with a range of SEND
- Planning and delivering differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
- Working closely with support staff and therapists to ensure a holistic approach
- Creating a calm, structured, and positive classroom environment
- Assessing progress and setting appropriate targets
- Working in a well-resourced, supportive and inclusive school
