Job Description
Are you a Business Studies Teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity to inspire and engage students in an Alternative Provision? This Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in East Birmingham is seeking a dedicated and passionate Business Studies Teacher to teach small groups of students who have faced barriers to mainstream education.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who enjoys working with small class sizes, allowing for focused teaching and tailored support. The school has a strong pastoral team, providing excellent behaviour support, and ensuring that students feel safe and valued. Lessons are designed to be engaging and practical, helping students see the real-world applications of Business Studies and develop essential skills for their future.
Job Role:
- Teaching Business Studies to small groups of Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
- Planning and delivering engaging, practical, and career-focused lessons.
- Using real-life business examples to make lessons relevant and inspiring.
- Working closely with pastoral and support staff to manage behaviour and ensure student progress.
- Encouraging students to develop entrepreneurial and financial literacy skills.
- Creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel motivated to learn.
- A long-term teaching opportunity in a well-supported PRU.
- Support from a dedicated leadership and pastoral team.
