Job Description
Why teach Science in an Alternative Provision? There are many reasons why you should consider teaching within alternative provision, smaller class, freedom to deliver creative lessons that stretch and inspire your students, seeing students discover a love for science, and much more.
If you are a QTS Science Teacher who is looking for something new, perhaps you are fed up with the rigid structure of mainstream science teaching? Or you are looking for a role where you can clearly see the progress of individual students, consider a new challenge in Alternative Provisions. As a Science Teacher at this school, you will be teaching classes of 5-10 students, and will receive outstanding support form an experienced teaching assistant. Staff at this school are committed to ensuring the best possible outcomes for students who have faced social and academic barriers, and behaviour is not as challenging as many PRU’s. Leadership is extremely supportive, and you will feel like part of the team from day one.
Job Role:
- Teaching Science to small classes of students with SEMH needs.
- Breaking down academic and social barriers.
- Making Science interesting for students who have become disengaged with education.
- Utilising a team of experienced Teaching Assistants to provide tailored support .
- A long -erm Science Teaching opportunity.
- Excellent support for SLT and experienced Teachers.
- Opportunities for further development and progression.
- Freedom to plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons.
