Job Description
Are you an experienced SEND Case Officer looking for your next contract role? We have an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) team in Surrey as a SEND Case Officer.
About the Role:
As a SEND Case Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring children and young people with special educational needs receive the right support and education. You will be responsible for managing a caseload of children and young people with EHC plans, ensuring statutory timescales and duties are met in accordance with the SEND Code of Practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of EHC plans from assessment to review
- Liaise with families, schools, and multi-agency professionals
- Draft and amend EHC plans ensuring quality and compliance
- Monitor outcomes and ensure provision is appropriate and effective
- Attend annual reviews, panel meetings, and case discussions as required
- Previous experience as a SEND Case Officer within a local authority
- Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and legislation
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
- Competitive day rate of £220
- Flexible hybrid working arrangement (1 day a week office presence as required)
