Key Responsibilities:

• Surface Preparation: Cleaning, sanding, masking, and pre-treating metal surfaces before coating.
• Powder Application: Applying powder coatings using electrostatic spray guns to ensure even coverage and a durable finish.
• Curing Process: Monitoring and adjusting oven temperatures and curing times for optimal results.
• Quality Control: Inspecting coated items for uniformity, adhesion, and defects, making touch-ups as needed.
• Equipment Maintenance: Cleaning and maintaining spray guns, booths, and curing ovens to ensure top performance.
• Safety & Compliance: Following workplace safety guidelines, handling materials properly, and disposing of waste responsibly.

 
Skills:

• Familiarity with different powder types, finishes, and curing processes
• Ability to read and follow job specifications, colour codes, and coating thickness requirements
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies or defects
• Experience using powder coating equipment, spray booths, and ovens
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards is a plus!
