Job Description

The Job Coach is responsible for supporting individuals in securing and maintaining employment by providing career guidance, skill development, and workplace integration assistance. The role involves working with job seekers to enhance their employability, assisting with job placement, and ensuring successful adaptation in their new roles.

This role can be based at either of our clients offices in West Bromwich or Coventry. This is a fully onsite based role working core business hours Monday - Friday offering an excellent salary of £30,000.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personal performance targets, Key Performance Indicators & Customer Service Standards.
  • To undertake initial and on-going assessment of customers’ pre-employment support needs in order to formulate development plans which enable customers to achieve their goals.
  • Manage a caseload of customers using a variety of coaching strategies, ensuring they have the skills, technique, confidence and motivation to find employment.
  • Provide guided support to customers in creating a CV, cover letters, job application forms and offer support with job searching, interview preparation and confidence building
  • To assist customer in their search for work and actively seek out and secure suitable employment which match customer’s skills, experience and aspirations.
  • To engage with employers to identify suitable job/work opportunities for customers and provide the link between employers and customers supporting both parties to get the right person into the job.
  • To provide a flexible service to meet the needs of the customers.

Experience:

  • Demonstrate ability and experience of coaching and influencing through previous work
  • Empathetic, with a genuine passion to make a difference to customers
  • Employability sector, Recruitment or Sales experience desirable
  • Experience of working in a performance driven environment
  • Knowledge of local job markets and the recruitment sector
  • Computer literate (MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across a number of work teams
  • Ability to proactively manage own workload and multiple priorities with excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Ability to use own initiative, working independently and as part of a team
