📍 Hornsey | 💼 Permanent | 🚀 Start ASAP
Salary:Â ÂŁ28,136 per annum + ÂŁ500 bonus every 6 months
Working Hours:
- Rotational shifts: 7:45 am – 4:45 pm or 9:00 am – 5:30 pm
- 1 in 4 weekends required: Saturday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm / Sunday 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Assistant Store Manager to join our team in Hornsey. You’ll support the Store Manager in ensuring smooth and efficient operations, driving sales, and delivering exceptional customer service.As Assistant Manager, you will play a key part in achieving store performance targets, motivating staff, and ensuring the store provides a friendly and professional environment for our customers. In the Store Manager’s absence, you will take full responsibility for supervising the team and maintaining operational standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting the Store Manager in achieving sales and profit targets.
- Advising customers face-to-face and over the phone, converting enquiries into sales.
- Maintaining high store standards in terms of appearance, safety, and cleanliness.
- Monitoring and motivating team members to achieve targets and deliver excellent service.
- Identifying opportunities to increase occupancy, revenue, and efficiency.
- Handling administrative tasks and ensuring compliance with company procedures.
- Taking store responsibility when the Store Manager is absent, including reporting sales and performance figures.
- Assisting with marketing tasks, debt management, and store maintenance issues.
About You
We’re looking for someone who can confidently lead by example, motivate others, and remain calm under pressure. You’ll need to be proactive, organised, and customer-focused with excellent communication skills.You will have:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Confidence in sales and customer interaction.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- A proactive attitude to achieving targets and handling challenges.
- Experience in a supervisory or assistant management role (retail or customer service environment advantageous).
- Flexibility to work weekends on a rota basis.
