Job Description
Key Deliverables & Accountabilities:Organisational Responsibilities:ESG (Environment, Social & Governance / Corporate Responsibility):
- Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of oneself and colleagues at all times.
- Adhere to competition compliance, ABC, and associated compliance policies.
- Role model safe working practices and behaviours.
- Contribute towards AB Mauri’s ESG vision, ensuring compliance with environmental and social governance standards.
- Cleaning Schedules: Operate and maintain effective cleaning schedules in line with operational requirements.
- Internal Audits: Assist in monthly internal GMP audits, ensuring all hygiene practices align with accreditation standards.
- Cleaning Operations: Perform cleaning operations in accordance with established hygiene schedules, ensuring all areas are thoroughly cleaned.
- Shift Briefing: Report to the Team Leader at the start of each shift to receive any special cleaning instructions.
- Hygiene Records: Complete and maintain accurate hygiene records in accordance with company procedures.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure hygiene equipment is well-maintained and report any damage or faults promptly.
- Training: Complete relevant hygiene training as required to stay up-to-date with industry standards and company policies.
- Cross-department Liaison: Collaborate with all departments across the site to ensure hygiene standards are consistently met.
- Pest Control Liaison: Work with the pest control contractor to ensure pest management procedures are followed, including defect rectification, scheduled spraying regimes, and internal pest control activities.

Experience:
- Experience: Proven experience in maintaining a clean operating environment, ideally within a fast-paced food manufacturing setting.
- Working to Targets: Experience working to specific hygiene and cleaning targets.
- Food Safety Standards: Familiarity with ISO 9001/BRC, Health & Safety regulations, Food Safety, Hygiene, HACCP, COSHH, and pest control practices.
- Customer Focus: Ability to work collaboratively to meet internal and external customer needs.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with team members and other departments.
- Ownership & Accountability: Take responsibility for personal actions and deliverables.
- Prioritisation & Focus: Demonstrate the ability to prioritise and maintain focus on key tasks.
- Planning & Organising: Ability to effectively plan and organise tasks to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met.
- Problem Solving: Identify issues or risks related to cleanliness and hygiene and propose practical solutions.
