Job Description
This role is to start in September and is ongoing until at least Summer 2026.
Key Responsibilities
Provide proactive support for pupils' social, emotional, and learning needs, working closely with the class teacher.
Build positive, inclusive relationships to encourage pupil engagement and development.
Support small group and individual activities, fostering self-esteem and social integration.
Assist with monitoring, recording, and reporting on pupil progress and wellbeing.
Supervise pupils during lessons, breaks, and on educational visits.
Person Specification
Experience supporting children with SEMH needs in a primary setting.
NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) or higher in Supporting Teaching & Learning, or relevant experience.
Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and a genuine passion for working with children.
Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and continuous professional development.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and maintain confidentiality.
Hours: Term-time only
