Production Planning Manager

The company are an established and leading manufacturer of transportation and product movement solutions supplied globally.

Pertemps are working on their behalf to recruit a Planning Manager to lead their planning function for their busy operations in the Stourport area.

Salary – highly competitive / negotiable.

The role is Days – Monday to Friday.

Main Responsibilities

• To translate incoming orders into detailed build plans and production schedules.
• Allocation of materials, machine and labour capacity to meet delivery targets.
• Actively involved in the MRP function introduction, implementation and governance.
• Liaise with sales, production, procurement and logistics to maintain alignment and resolve issues.
• Recruit, lead and grow a motivated planning team, conduct training, coaching and build technical skills.
• Monitor plan performance, identify deviations and drive continuous process improvements and efficiencies.

Skills and experience required

• At least 5 years experience in a planning or a scheduling role within manufacturing.
• Successfully managed production planning across multiple areas, delivered on tight deadlines and manged competing priorities.
• Experience working effectively within cross functional leadership structures.
• Advanced excel skills.
• Some experience of migrating of MRP systems will be advantageous.
• Calm and methodical approach.
• Strong communication skills
