Pertemps is pleased to be representing a well-established business in the carpentry and furniture accessories industry. Our client is seeking a Technical Sales Advisor to join their growing team in Droitwich. If you are technically minded, with experience in the woodworking or furniture sector, and are passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and sales, this opportunity could be ideal for you.
In this role, you'll leverage your technical knowledge to provide expert advice and solutions for a range of customers, driving sales and developing lasting relationships. The role requires someone who is self-motivated, works well independently as well as in a team, and is eager to learn about new products and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical advice and promote products such as fittings, glues, and more to customers in the woodworking trade.
- Qualify new customers and re-engage with existing clients to strengthen relationships and drive sales.
- Handle quotation requests, ensuring timely delivery and excellent communication throughout the process.
- Provide top-tier service to both new and existing customers, resolving issues and offering the best solutions for their needs.
- Develop a deep understanding of the product range, systems, and processes to deliver informed recommendations.
- Manage and input sales orders through SAP, ERP and CRM systems, ensuring all details are accurately logged and orders are processed efficiently.
- Assist the external sales team by providing the necessary support to enhance customer engagement and sales efforts.
Candidate Profile:
- Ideally, you'll have training as a carpenter/joiner or experience in the furniture fitting industry.
- Previous experience in sales or consulting for technical products in the woodworking or furniture sectors is highly desirable.
- Friendly, engaging, and confident in building rapport with both clients and colleagues.
- Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service, ensuring long-term client relationships.
- Comfortable using a variety of IT systems, with knowledge of SAP ERP and CRM systems being an advantage.
- Open to professional development and acquiring new knowledge regarding the company's products and systems.
- Willing to travel occasionally for training or exhibition purposes.
