Production Engineer - Electromechanical

Our client runs small but busy production team manufacturing high-quality test and measurement equipment!

They seek an enthusiastic individual with strong practical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to accuracy.

Reporting to the Engineering & Manufacturing Director, you will play a vital role in supporting and improving all aspects of our production environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Create and update manufacturing documentation for electronic test equipment.
Identify and implement continuous improvement methods.
Assist with the design and development of jigs, fixtures, and tools.
Support new product transition from R&D to production.
Manufacture products with mechanical and electronic assemblies.
Test and calibrate instruments and sub-assemblies.
Perform in-process inspection and complete shop-floor documentation.
Troubleshoot and diagnose production instrument faults.
Schedule production builds.

Essential Skills & Experience:
HNC/HND in Engineering/Production
Engineering or equivalent experience in the electronics industry.
Strong analytical and computer skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills.
Experience in electronic and/or mechanical assembly and reading technical diagrams.
Experience with low volume/batch production.
Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised.

Desirable Skills:
Experience in electronic instrumentation fault finding.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing/continuous improvement (Six Sigma, Kaizen, Kanban).
Knowledge of online manufacturing programs (e.g., Visual Factory).
Database knowledge.
