Job Description

As the IT Hub Lead, you will be responsible for supporting the streamlining processes related to customer onboarding for starters, movers, and leavers, and ensuring smooth operations of IT stock management, peripherals, printer support, and meeting room equipment services. You will also liaise with suppliers and stakeholders to drive service excellence.

What you’ll be doing as an IT Hub Lead
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the IT Hub Engineers, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
  • Oversee daily operations of the IT Hub, ensuring workloads are effectively prioritised and distributed.
  • Ensure timely resolution of 2nd line support requests, maintaining SLAs and quality standards.
  • Review procurement needs and work with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of IT equipment.
  • Ensure the smooth onboarding, relocation, and offboarding of employees by managing IT requirements for starters, movers, and leavers.
  • Collaborate with HR and other departments to anticipate and fulfil user needs efficiently.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external suppliers and service providers.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to identify and address IT service improvements.
  • Drive a customer-first culture within the IT Hub, ensuring all interactions are professional and friendly.
  • Produce regular reports on team performance, stock levels, and service metrics.
  • Identify and implement innovative solutions to meet evolving organisational needs.
Base location – Clear Water Court Reading  - Weekly / Daily travel is required to London, Swindon or sites as required as part of our service.
Necessary requirements for the role – MUST have a valid UK driving licence

What you should bring to the role
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience in a senior or leading role
  • IT management experience within an large IT organisation
  • Experience of delivery within a complex IT operational environment
  • Has excellent interpersonal skills and is fully experienced at dealing with stakeholders. Proficient and effective communicator
  • Expert in Technical and problem-solving experience and techniques
  • ITIL qualification or equivalent
