Job Description
What you’ll be doing as an Operations Integration Engineer
- Promoting Thames Water’s Health and Safety Three Zeros culture of ‘Zero Incidents, Zero Harm & Zero Compromise’ by supporting the well-being of team members, colleagues, and contractors.
- Ensure the project teams and operations understand the underlying drivers of needs and any operational synergies across their operational area and broader programme.
- Adopt the standardised approach to operational engagement to ensure efficient governance and that the engagement meets the necessary quality standards.
- Ensure that AIR deliverables are agreed upon with the Operational Team and other parts of the business as required.
- Support the design process, ensuring Operational layouts and functionality align with Best Operating Practices. Support of key design reviews (Solutions review / Challenge Workshop, HAZOP, HAZCOM, SWIFT)
- Understand and agree on the site access, mobilisation, and availability of plant and personnel to facilitate construction, integration, commissioning, training, and Take Over.
- Work with the Operational team to ensure that all necessary permits are obtained to maximise the project's benefits while protecting the works' operation.
- Liaise with project teams to ensure that ownership and responsibilities are fulfilled during the Takeover process and that deliverables are available at the required time.
- Agree on appropriate post-Take Overworks.
As part of this role, you must be on-site and in the office 3 days a week, working 36 hours a week, Monday through Friday.
The successful candidate must have a driver's license and access to a car, but please do apply if you don't, as we are open to candidates without a vehicle.
What you should bring to the role
- Have an HNC or above in an appropriate engineering subject or significant experience in a similar role
- Be experienced in managing sites and liaising with large teams
- Be knowledgeable in construction design and management regulations
- Have an appreciation of operational issues/constraints and the ability to help develop solutions fitting to the needs
- Understand the Capital Delivery process and forms of contract
- Understanding of the development of design, construction, and operation of infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of performance and quality management
- Competitive salary from £40,000 to £60,000 per annum depending on skills and experience
- 26 days holiday per year, increasing to 30 with the length of service. (Plus bank holidays)
- Contributory pension – Defined Contribution - Maximum of 12% -2x employee contribution.
