Position: Legal Officer
Duration: March - August 2025
Location: Ballard House, Plymouth
Hours: 09:00am - 17:00pm
Pay Rate: £20.35 per hour

We have an exciting opportunity for a Legal Officer to join a small team for up to five months. This exciting role involves handling both contentious and non-contentious employment matters on a full or part-time basis.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and provide advice (under supervision) to public sector clients on employee relations matters.
- Review policies, procedures, and contracts.
- Advise on equalities obligations.
- Support the team on employment tribunal matters.
- Advise on TUPE and a broad range of other employment issues for clients (under supervision).

Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience in employment law.
- Ability to undertake legal research and provide advice under supervision.
- Experience in reviewing policies, procedures, and contracts.
- Knowledge of equalities obligations and employment tribunal processes.
- Ability to advise on TUPE and other employment issues.

Additional Information:
- Occasional office attendance in Plymouth will be required, as well as attendance at Tribunals as necessary.
