Sheridan Maine is working with a leading Central London growing business to recruit a Management Accountant. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with strong accounting knowledge and proven experience who is looking to advance their career within management accounting. The successful candidate will join a collaborative finance team and gain broad exposure across a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities of the Management Accountant will include:
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments and journals.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
  • Produce and analyse variance reports against budgets and forecasts.
  • Assist with cashflow forecasting and contribute to working capital management.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting cycles with accurate and timely financial data.
  • Prepare intercompany reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist with VAT returns and other compliance reporting requirements.
  • Provide financial analysis and commentary to support key business decisions.
  • Support finance operations, including invoice processing, payment runs and ledger reconciliations.
  • Work closely with both finance and non-finance stakeholders to enhance reporting and improve processes.
 
The successful Management Accountant will require:
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, ideally with experience in a similar management accounting role.
  • Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent).
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to work proactively, manage workloads effectively and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
