Tax Director

Sheridan Maine is seeking an experienced Tax Director to lead and grow the tax offering of a prestigious and forward-thinking accountancy practice in London. This strategic role is ideal for a senior tax professional ready to take ownership of a thriving department and drive advisory excellence across a wide range of client sectors.

Key responsibilities.

• Lead the tax department, managing client relationships and overseeing delivery of high-quality tax compliance and advisory services.
• Provide expert tax planning advice to individuals, owner-managed businesses, and corporate clients.
• Identify new business opportunities and contribute to the firm’s growth strategy.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UK tax legislation and market developments.
• Review and approve complex tax computations and returns.
• Mentor and develop junior members of the tax team.
• Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients, managing enquiries and investigations.
  
  

What we’re looking for.

• CTA and/or ACA qualified with significant post-qualification experience.
• Strong background in UK tax, with particular expertise in advisory and planning.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships at a senior level.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to contribute to business development.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
