Job Description

Sheridan Maine is delighted to be partnering with a dynamic and growing organisation in Poole to recruit an Accounts Receivable Assistant. Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately post customer payments and allocate receipts to accounts.
  • Manage the reconciliation of customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Generate and issue invoices and credit notes as required.
  • Investigate and follow up on aged debt, supporting credit control efforts.
  • Support with regular cash and bank reconciliations.
  • Assist in maintaining clean and up-to-date ledgers, contributing to efficient month-end processes.
 
What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience: Previous experience in an Accounts Receivable, Sales Ledger, or Finance Assistant role.
  • Organisation: Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to account management.
  • Problem Solver: Comfortable investigating discrepancies and resolving issues proactively.
  • Team Player: A collaborative attitude and the ability to build relationships across departments and with customers.
  • Systems Knowledge: Proficient in Excel and finance systems (experience with ERP software a plus).
