Sheridan Maine is excited to partner with a reputable Bedfordshire-based organisation in their search for an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to work within a supportive and dynamic environment, with the flexibility of hybrid working.
 
Responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant include:
  • Process invoices and payments.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records.
  • Assist with forecasting preparation.
  • Collaborate with other teams to collate financial information.
  • Oversee account reconciliation for all clearing accounts whilst working to resolve any outstanding issues with the Customer Service Manager.
  • Maintain accounts payable and receivable.
  • Undertake financial analysis and reporting.
  • To build, maintain and document all financial processes and procedures.
  • Ensure the accurate application of sales tax on all invoices to guarantee proper tax reporting.
  • Respond to internal and external financial queries.
  • Help with ad hoc administrative tasks as required by the finance team.
 
The successful Accounts Assistant will require:
  • Previous experience in an accounts assistant or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Global (US) experience is vital.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
