💰 Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum (DOE)
🔎 Overview:
A well-established roofing company based in Waltham Abbey is seeking a dedicated Buyer to manage the procurement of goods and services 🛠️, ensuring the timely delivery of materials for roofing and cladding projects 🏘️. Working closely with Project Managers, the design team, and the procurement manager, this role focuses on sourcing high-quality materials at competitive prices 💼, keeping projects running smoothly and on budget.
📋 Key Responsibilities:

• 🛒 Procure and schedule products, materials, plant, and equipment for roofing and cladding projects.
• 💵 Ensure all purchases align with budgetary constraints while providing the best value.
• 📊 Monitor and report price changes, updating internal records and spreadsheets.
• 🚚 Track orders, address issues with late or failed deliveries, and arrange returns for defective products.
• 🤝 Maintain and develop supplier relationships to strengthen the supply chain.
• 📝 Process purchase ledger records and maintain procurement documentation.

• 🤝 Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills to secure optimal pricing and terms.
• 📅 Ability to plan and prioritise for multiple projects with varying lead times.
• 🔧 Problem-solving skills to identify and resolve supply issues.
• 🗣️ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building strong supplier relationships.
• 👏 Ownership and accountability to achieve team and company objectives.
• 🖼️ Ability to read and interpret construction drawings or perform take-offs (training provided).

🎓 Experience:

• 📦 Background in procurement and inventory management, with relevant experience or education.
• 💻 Proficiency in using computer programs for word processing, email, and spreadsheets.

• 🏠 Roofing, cladding, or construction industry experience is highly desirable, but training will be provided.
• 🖊️ Ability to read and interpret project drawings and specifications is an advantage.
