Loading Operative

Pertemps Milton Keynes is currently recruiting Loading Operatives for our client in Milton Keynes.

• Shift Pattern: 4 x 10-hour shifts per week
• Pay Rate: £13.16 per hour
• Job Type: Ongoing Work

The Role: 
As a Loading Operative, your role will be to ensure the dispatch area runs smoothly without hiccups.
Your role will include:

• Movement of various items between warehouse and dispatch areas.
• Loading and unloading of vehicles.
• Keeping the working environment clean, organised, and free from obstructions to facilitate smooth work-flow and minimise safety hazards.
• Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks, prioritise workload, and address any concerns or challenges that may arise during daily operations.
• Adhering to all safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues. This includes proper equipment handling, following designated pathways, and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

What We're Looking For: 

As a Loading Operative, you play a vital role in ensuring things keep moving, your dedication to safety, accuracy, and teamwork ensures overall success of the department. Ideal candidates will have:

• Physical stamina to handle lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling heavy objects.
• Previous experience in a warehouse loading environment.
• Basic mathematical skills for counting, sorting, and recording.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in task execution.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A proactive attitude and the ability to show initiative.
