Machinist/Fitter

Position: Machinist/Fitter

Location: Burton-On-Trent

Hours: Monday to Thursday 07:30am – 16:00pm / Friday 07:30am – 13:00pm

Salary: £25k - £40k (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities:
 

• Proficient in interpreting and working from technical drawings for part manufacturing
• Skilled in machine fitting and mechanical assembly processes
• Strong problem-solving and fault-finding abilities applied across various mechanical tasks
• Experienced in the installation of machinery at customer sites
• Proven mechanical engineering experience essential for the role
• Capable of carrying out routine servicing and repairs on industrial machinery
• Committed to consistently following health and safety regulations and procedures
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar engineering or manufacturing environment required
• Hands-on experience with manual machinery including turning, milling, grinding, and lathes
• Full UK driving licence required
• Additional experience in CNC milling, welding/fabrication, and forklift truck operation is advantageous but not essential
