Job Title: HGV (C+E) Night Shunter
Location: Robertsbridge
Salary: £15.29phr 
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 6pm to 6am
This is a temporary, but on going position
 
Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and skilled HGV Night Shunter to work with our client who is based in Robertsbridge (East Sussex). The successful candidate will be responsible for manoeuvring HGV’s and trailers around the depot, ensuring vehicles are positioned correctly for loading/unloading, and maintaining a safe working environment.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Safely manoeuvre HGVs and trailers within the depot.
• Ensure vehicles are positioned correctly for loading and unloading.
• Couple and uncouple trailers as required.
• Perform pre- and post-shift vehicle checks to ensure safety and compliance.
• Report any defects or issues promptly.
• Work closely with the warehouse, loading teams, and dispatch staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Follow yard traffic management plans.
• Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized depot environment.
• Skills and Qualifications

About you:

Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
In date CPC & Tacho cards.
Minimum of 2 years driving experience in a C+E capacity.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work night shifts.
Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
