Join a dynamic, award-winning apprenticeship training provider that continues to grow and innovate in the world of professional development. We are currently looking for a dedicated Procurement Skills Coach to mentor and support apprentices on their journey to success. This is a fully remote, full-time position with a forward-thinking provider that offers a supportive and inclusive working environment, flexible working, and clear career progression opportunities.
Salary: Up to £35,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Location: Remote / Work from Home
Benefits: Flexible working, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, paid volunteer days, and continuous professional development
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support Learners to Achieve Procurement Apprenticeships (up to Level 4):
Manage a caseload of apprentices, providing ongoing one-to-one coaching and support throughout their learning journey. You will guide them through the full apprenticeship standard, helping to develop both technical and transferable skills.
  • Conduct Regular Progress Reviews:
Carry out timely and structured progress reviews with apprentices and their employers, ensuring clear action plans, SMART targets, and alignment with the apprenticeship standard's knowledge, skills, and behaviours.
  • Tailor Learning and Development Plans:
Develop individual learning plans that reflect the learner’s job role, career goals, and preferred learning styles, ensuring a personalised approach to each learner's development.
  • Prepare Learners for End-Point Assessment (EPA):
Build learners’ confidence and readiness for EPA by providing clear guidance, reviewing their portfolio, conducting mock assessments, and ensuring all required components are completed to a high standard.
  • Monitor and Record Learning Progress:
Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of learner interactions, reviews, and progress in line with internal systems and regulatory requirements (ESFA, Ofsted, etc.).
  • Embed Functional Skills (as required):
Where necessary, support the development of English, maths, and digital skills to ensure full apprenticeship completion.
  • Provide Pastoral Support and Motivation:
Act as a trusted mentor, offering encouragement, wellbeing support, and career guidance to help learners stay engaged and overcome challenges.
  • Work in Partnership with Employers:
Liaise with line managers and stakeholders to ensure learning is relevant to the workplace, and that both learner and employer expectations are being met.
  • Use Technology to Deliver Coaching Remotely:
Confidently use platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and internal ePortfolio systems to conduct virtual meetings, reviews, and support sessions effectively.
  • Ensure Compliance and Quality:
Adhere to internal quality assurance processes and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, maintaining high standards of delivery in line with Ofsted and awarding organisation expectations.
About You:
  • Hold a recognised teaching or assessing qualification (e.g., AET, TAQA, CAVA) – or be willing to work towards one (supported by the provider).
  • Strong industry background in Procurement, Purchasing, or Supply Chain Management.
  • Previous experience coaching, mentoring, or supporting learners/apprentices in a professional setting.
  • Holding a CIPS Qualification would be highly advantageous
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills.
  • Confident with remote working and using digital platforms for learner support.
  • Passionate about helping others achieve their goals through coaching and development.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage your own caseload independently.
