Logistics Manager

Pertemps Swindon is currently looking for a Logistics Manager to support operations functions at our prestigious client based in Chippenham SN14
 

This is a permanent position.

Monday to Thursday 08:00-16:30

Friday 08:00-15:30 

Salary: £40000 per year with an 8% annual performance bonus


Main duties:

• Responsible for managing and coordinating import, export, compliance and freight movements.
  
  
• Support supply chain and customer requirements in timely manner
  
  
• Correct identification of hazardous goods and making sure they packed correctly
  
  
• Arranging shipment according client expectations
  
  
• Working closely with internal departments to achieve business requirements and client satisfaction
  
  
• Maintaining freight related invoices to maintain accurate cost allocation and Duty and VAT calculation
  
  
• Providing solutions and support to maintain high level of Compliance and Health and Safety.

Right candidate:

• Knowledge of custom clearance (2 years minimum required)
  
  
• Understanding the Inco Terms (2 years minimum required)
  
  
• Logistics background including booking shipment with freights (preferred)
  
  
• Have prior experience within manufacturing or distribution sector that specialises in global export
  
  
• Experience in import and export administrative duties
  
  
• Flexible and adaptive approach  
  
  
• Strong negotiation skills
