THE ROLE:
This highly respected law firm is seeking a solicitor to join its national planning team, capable of managing an independent caseload of development matters. Working closely with senior team members, you will provide strategic advice to a diverse client base on special protection areas, assets of community value, and village greens. Your role will also involve advising on planning permission processes, as well as drafting and negotiating statutory agreements. Additionally, you will audit planning application documents and committee reports to support clients with risk assessments, appeals, judicial reviews, and enforcement actions.

THE CANDIDATE:
The successful candidate will have previous experience of at least 3 years’ PQE and possess extensive experience in planning and highways law. You should also demonstrate strong technical expertise in drafting complex sc 106 Agreements, highway, and land development agreements, as well as planning due diligence reports. As this role involves highways advisory work, a solid understanding of EIA, CIL, and GLA planning is essential.
