Skilled Machinist / Precision Engineer
Location: Wrexham
Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum + Bonus + Overtime Opportunities
A well-established manufacturing company is looking for a Skilled Machinist / Precision Engineer to join its growing engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a time-served machinist to work in a hands-on role within a precision manufacturing environment.
The Role:
You will be responsible for machining precision components, working to engineering drawings, and contributing to the efficient running of a busy machine shop. The role involves working with manual machines, with potential training available for CNC operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Machining Operations – Setting up and running manual lathes, knee mills, and drills to produce precision components.
Engineering Drawings – Reading and interpreting technical drawings to meet required specifications.
Tooling & Finishing – Using interchangeable inserts and grinding tools to achieve required finishes and tolerances.
Bench Fitting & Assembly – Experience in bearing renewal and assembly work is beneficial but not essential.
Low Volume Precision Work – Exposure to mould work and rubber machining is an advantage, though training can be provided.
CNC Experience – Beneficial but not essential, with training available if required.
